Background The Coatesville VA Medical Center (CVAMC) is issuing this contract for the installation of a Split System and Backup System in Building 9 Server Room. The goal of this contract is to ensure the server room maintains appropriate cooling conditions, complying with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements and all applicable Federal, State, and local codes. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and quality assurance necessary to install two separate air conditioning units: a primary 5T Daikin Split System (or equal) and a secondary Fujitsu Mini-Split system. Specific tasks include: 1. Furnishing and installing one (1) 5T Daikin Split System or equal; 2. Installing one (1) 5T Air Handling Unit; 3. Installing one (1) 5T DC6 Condensing Unit with a cooling operation range of 0F-115F; 4. Providing a Daikin one-touch thermostat or equal; 5. Installing required electrical connections from the panel to the outdoor unit (ODU) and air handling unit (AHU); 6. Installing necessary ductwork; 7. Setting the system on a pad poured by CVAMC; 8. Programming the system to maintain correct temperature settings; 9. Furnishing and installing one (1) Fujitsu (or equal) 4T Mini-Split Condenser; 10. Installing wall mounts and line sets of up to 35 feet; 11. Providing communication lines with a one-touch thermostat; 12. Furnishing wall hangers for the outside condenser unit; 13. Connecting to existing power from the old unit; 14. Installing drain piping for proper condensate drainage; 15. Recovering refrigerant from the old mini-split being replaced; and 16. Disposing of the old mini-split on campus. Period of Performance The performance period is set to begin ten days after the Notice to Proceed and will last for two weeks. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Coatesville VA Medical Center, located at 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Building 9, Coatesville, PA 19320.
