This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for market research and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation or commitment to issue a solicitation by the Indian Health Service (IHS). This SSN is seeking information from the specific types of entities listed below to assess their capabilities in fulfilling the requirements set forth in this SSN. The information from this SSN will be used to determine the appropriate set-aside, if any, in accordance with the applicable regulations listed. Background The Indian Health Service (IHS) is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for Indian people, aiming to raise their health status to the highest possible level. The IHS provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for approximately 2.3 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to 573 federally recognized Tribes in 37 states. The Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) has an aging plumbing infrastructure that requires ongoing monitoring and maintenance of its drainage system. Work Details The contractor shall provide preventative maintenance drainage system services for NNMC SR0001 and the West Wing Administration Building SR0004. The services include: 1) Bi-annual cleaning of drain lines in identified problem areas; 2) Jetting of drain lines during two one-week service visits; 3) Application of Bio-Clean treatment to drain lines; 4) Use of a high-resolution video camera to inspect drain lines for blockages, cracks, or deterioration; 5) Coordination with Facility Management with a minimum of 120 hours notice prior to work to minimize disruption; 6) Scheduling routine inspections and cleaning of sewer lines; 7) Ensuring waste from faucets, toilets, and drains are in good condition; 8) Utilizing a mechanical auger as necessary to prevent further buildup; 9) Developing and maintaining a comprehensive safety program compliant with OSHA requirements; 10) Training Shiprock NNMC Maintenance Staff on best practices for maintaining drain lines; 11) Providing completed service reports for all maintenance performed; and 12) Immediate repair of any damages caused during maintenance services. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period of performance lasting 12 months, followed by four option periods of an additional 12 months each. Place of Performance Northern Navajo Medical Center, U.S. Hwy, 491 North, Shiprock New Mexico, including the Main Hospital and West Wing.
