Posted: May 15, 2026, 12:47 p.m. EDT Yellowstone National Park - Fiber Broadband to Grant Amendment 1 adds a revised SOW to include the map and adds a document of questions and answers. Description: The selected provider must install several miles of underground fiber optic connections, extending from a common demarcation point to specific NPS facilities, to support these services. When submitting an offer, a provider must include details of the offered 24x7x365 internet support services, including method of customer contact, response times, and customer notifications for scheduled and unscheduled outages. A right of way (ROW) permit is required any time that a service provider builds or installs a utility on NPS lands. Projects including broadband equipment, such as telecommunication sites, microwave, and fiber optic, require a ROW permit as well. A ROW permit is required prior to beginning work. A ROW is issued by the National Park Service (NPS) and it allows a utility to pass over, under, or through NPS property. The permit may be issued only pursuant to specific statutory authority regardless of whether the equipment is serving the NPS and its visitors or crossing the park to reach other communities. Offeror must be able to obtain and maintain a valid right of way or other permit conveyance to operate equipment in the National Park.
