Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of a Recruit® HD (Sentricon) termite bait system at Carlsbad Caverns National Park (CAVE). The goal of this contract is to protect historic and administrative structures within the park from termite infestations. This project is critical to preserving the integrity of the park's facilities, which include visitor centers, housing, and administrative offices. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to install approximately 170 in-ground termite bait and monitoring stations around the perimeters of 17 park buildings. 2. Load each station with Recruit® HD termite bait. 3. Conduct monitoring inspections at 6 months and 12 months after installation. 4. Replenish bait as needed during each inspection. 5. Provide GPS mapping of station locations. 6. Treat active infestations in 3 identified buildings with targeted colony elimination. 7. Submit detailed written reports after each inspection, including photographs, activity logs, and bait usage documentation. Deliverables include: - Initial installation report with station map. - Two monitoring inspection reports (6 and 12 months) with bait replacement documentation. - Final report summarizing activities, infestations treated, and station condition. All work must comply with manufacturer instructions for Recruit® HD and be performed by licensed pest control applicators. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico, specifically around the perimeters of various buildings within the Historic District and Rattlesnake Springs.
