Background The City of Providence, Rhode Island, through its Board of Contract and Supply, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the acquisition of ammunition and supplies for the fiscal year 2027. The Providence Police Department aims to procure a range of ammunition-related equipment and supplies to support its operations. This contract is essential for maintaining the department's readiness and capability in law enforcement activities. Work Details The selected vendor will be responsible for providing various types of ammunition and training supplies, including but not limited to: - 9mm 124gr Federal AE9AP full metal jacket ammunition (380,000 rounds) - 9mm Federal HST jacketed hollow point (30,000 rounds) - 5.56 (.223) 55gr Federal AE223 full metal jacket rifle ammunition (40,000 rounds) - 5.56 (.223) 55gr Federal LE Tactical TRU T223A soft point rifle ammunition (5,000 rounds) - .308 Federal GM308M2 (2,000 rounds) - Various targets including Speedwell and Action targets with specified product codes and quantities. All products must be new, factory boxed, and of first quality. Proposals must include pricing for each type of ammunition along with any bulk purchase discounts and estimated delivery times. Period of Performance The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Place of Performance All deliveries will be made to the Providence Police Department located at 325 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903.
