Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for trash services at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to secure a qualified contractor to provide refuse and recycling collection services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste as well as the handling and recycling of designated recyclable materials. The contractor must furnish, deliver, maintain, and remove refuse and recycling containers as directed by the Contracting Officer (CO) or the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Services must be performed safely, timely, and in an environmentally responsible manner. No service shall be performed on federal holidays or designated observed holidays; if a pickup date falls on such a holiday, service will occur on the preceding or following business day as coordinated with the CO or COR. Period of Performance The period of performance will be one base year with four one-year options if exercised from the date of award.
