Background The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from firms to provide leased vehicles for the County of Ocean, classified as a County of Fifth Class under New Jersey law. The goal of this contract is to secure a reliable source of various vehicle types for county operations, particularly for law enforcement purposes. Work Details The successful vendor will provide leased vehicles including SUVs, sedans, mini-vans, and pick-up trucks. The County anticipates leasing 12 to 15 vehicles per month and requires a minimum provision of 15 vehicles from the current model year at the start of the contract. Each lease agreement must include unlimited miles per year, a twelve-month lease with an option for a second year, maintenance responsibilities for the lessor, and provisions for obtaining necessary licenses and registrations. Vehicles must be replaceable with minimal notice if deemed no longer useful by the County. Additionally, two sets of keys must be provided for each vehicle.
