Background The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, Tennessee (Metro) is seeking technology vendors to provide solutions that align with their information technology environment. The goal is to support public services across more than fifty departments and agencies while ensuring cost-effectiveness, security, and maintainability. The Information Technology Services Department (ITS) has outlined specific expectations for vendor submissions to ensure compatibility with existing systems and adherence to Metro's operational standards. Work Details Vendors are required to propose solutions that utilize Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for authentication, ensuring single sign-on functionality or pass-through authentication. The infrastructure primarily supports Microsoft Windows clients and Linux-based servers, with a preference for Microsoft Azure as the IaaS provider. Proposed solutions must include robust documentation on account maintenance, security patching, backups, and recovery processes. Vendors should be prepared to work with either Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases, providing details on ongoing maintenance tasks. All proposed systems must comply with Metro's aggressive patch management processes and include comprehensive backup and restoration solutions. Additionally, any AI solutions must undergo a risk assessment led by ITS prior to implementation. Bidder Requirements Vendors must comply with Metro's security policies and complete the Metropolitan Government’s Information Security Agreement Questionnaire if they intend to provide software or hardware, connect to the Metro network, or access/store Metro data. All network communications devices must be managed by ITS and adhere to specific configuration requirements.
