Background The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking technical information regarding a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) to manage various categories of audio-visual assets. The goal is to support NARA's mission by ensuring that authentic, accessible, and usable audiovisual records are available to staff as needed. Work Details NARA requires a flexible long-term DAMS that will serve as a repository for audiovisual working files and high-quality digital reproduction masters. Key tasks include: - Providing file storage, management, discovery, and sharing functionality for various media types including photos, videos, audio, text, graphics, CSV files, and proprietary scientific instrument data. - Allowing employees to upload, view, and download assets as needed. - Ingesting records and managing them according to their lifecycle with retention rules. - Supporting agency-wide audiovisual corporate records management with at least 100 user accounts and an additional 10 accounts for external users. - Incorporating policies for metadata governance and asset transfer for permanent preservation. - Connecting to Amazon Web Services S3 buckets. - Migrating approximately 65 TB of existing audiovisual data from the current system. - Managing a total of 1450-2000 TB of data over five years. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a five-year period.
