NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SINGLE SOURCE

The NAICS Code is 423490. Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RWTE), Eglin AFB, FL contemplates awarding a single source purchase order as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to Mettler-Toledo AutoChem. Please see the attachments to this notice for additional details. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government for the competition of this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses should be e-mailed to the buyer at EMAIL no later than 10 April 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Only responses received by this date will be considered. All questions should be directed to the buyer at michael.hornberger.1@us.af.mil. Background The Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RWTE) at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, is seeking to procure specialized equipment for developing a high-precision automated chemical reaction and crystallization work station. This equipment is essential for efficient chemical process development and optimization of energetic material formulations. Work Details AFRL/RWTE requires the purchase of the following items: 1. Mettler-Toledo Analyzer EasyViewer 100 system 2. iC vision software to control the EasyViewer 100 system 3. ReactRaman 802L spectrometer 4. ReactRaman Immersion probe 5. Installation services 6. An additional year service plan. These items are necessary for particle analysis during the formulation of energetic materials and must integrate with the existing EasyMax 402 reactor synthesis station used by AFRL/RWTE.
