Background The New York Harbor VA Healthcare System is seeking a contractor to provide annual Quality Control (QC) inspections for diagnostic equipment at their Brooklyn, St. Albans, and Manhattan campuses. This requirement is structured as a firm fixed-price contract with one base year and four 12-month option periods, aimed at ensuring compliance with various health and safety regulations. Work Details The contractor will perform annual QC inspections of diagnostic equipment, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCO), FDA regulations, and other relevant standards. The scope includes: 1. Compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. 2. Inspection of various types of diagnostic equipment including X-ray units, CT scanners, mammography machines, and ultrasound devices across the three campuses. 3. Preparation of detailed QC reports that include inspection dates, locations, unit details, test procedures, results, and compliance status. 4. Notification to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) regarding inspection schedules and any non-compliance issues immediately after inspections. 5. Provision of all necessary calibration and survey equipment for the inspections. 6. Availability for emergency activities related to radiology services as needed. Period of Performance The contract will commence on April 1, 2026, with the base period lasting until March 31, 2027. There are options for four additional years extending through March 31, 2030.
