Background The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the primary border security agency of the United States, responsible for a wide range of duties including the apprehension of undocumented border crossers and the collection of revenue for the U.S. Treasury. CBP's mission includes keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S. while facilitating lawful international travel and trade. The agency intends to issue a Competitive 8(a) Request for Proposals (RFP) to acquire contractor services for Tactical Infrastructure (TI) Maintenance in the Tucson Sector along the U.S./Mexico Border. Work Details The contractor will provide maintenance, repair, and improvement services for TI assets in the Tucson Sector, which includes: - Roads and bridges (including boat ramps and floating boat slips) - Fences and gates (including concertina/razor wire) - Vegetation control - Debris removal (including Carrizo Cane and Hyacinth/Hydrilla) - Border lighting and electrical systems - Drainage and grate systems - Tunnel remediation - TI attributes including shelters, air conditioning units, generators, and cameras. The contractor must furnish all necessary services, qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities not otherwise provided by the Government. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve-month option periods. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed in the Tucson Sector along the U.S./Mexico Border in Arizona.
