** THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT ** for Coriolis Flow Meter Engineering Development Unit for Cryogenic Spaceflight Applications

Summary (Newest Update)

Background The contract is issued by NASA, specifically for the Kennedy Space Center, which focuses on space exploration and research. The goal of this contract is to procure a flight functional Coriolis flow meter engineering development unit (EDU) sensor and transmitter rated for cryogenic service. This unit will support a research and development effort aimed at validating and verifying spaceflight hardware requirements. The selected flow meter is preferred due to its proven reliability and accuracy in previous applications. Work Details The contractor is required to deliver one (1) Coriolis flow meter sensor and one (1) transmitter with specific characteristics: - **Coriolis Flow Meter Sensor:** - Size: 1/4 inch (DN6), made of 316L stainless steel tubing. - Process Connections: #8 316/316L Metal Gasket Face Seal Fitting, 1/2-inch 316 NPT female adapter. - Case Options: Purge fittings (two 1/2-inch NPT female). - Electronics Interface: 9-wire polyurethane-painted aluminum J-box. - Calibration Options: 0.10% mass flow and 0.0005 g/cc density calibration. - Special Tests and Certificates: Hydrostatic Test Certificate, Material Inspection Certificate, Declaration of Compliance for Oxygen Service, Helium Leak Test Certificate. - **Coriolis Flow Meter Transmitter:** - Model: 5700 field mount transmitter. - Mounting: Remote transmitter with integrated core processor in polyurethane-painted aluminum housing. - Power Supply: Operates on 18 to 100 VDC and 85 to 265 VAC; self-switching capability. - Display: Backlit graphic display with CSA and IIB + H2 ATEX ratings. Additionally, the delivery includes one (1) sensor to transmitter connecting cable of standard length and one (1) Certificate of Compliance. Period of Performance 20 weeks from award to hardware delivery. Place of Performance NASA Kennedy Space Center, Central Supply, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899.
