Background The Marine Forces Reserve is seeking to procure pressure washing services for its facilities located at 2000 Opelousas Ave, New Orleans, LA 70114. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure the thorough cleaning of the exterior surfaces of a large building and warehouse, while minimizing environmental impact and adhering to specific military regulations. Work Details The contractor will perform pressure washing services on a 400,000 square foot building and a 50,000 square foot warehouse. Tasks include: - Pressure washing all exterior surfaces such as walls (stucco, brick, siding, concrete), windows (glass surfaces and frames), trim, overhangs, and door frames for both buildings. - Employing surface-specific cleaning techniques tailored to materials: - For stucco: use low-pressure techniques to prevent damage. - For brick: adjust pressure carefully to avoid damaging mortar joints. - For windows: utilize specialized solutions to prevent streaking or damage. - Implement environmentally conscious practices including minimizing water usage and protecting surrounding vegetation during the cleaning process. This involves using ergonomic wash techniques and biodegradable cleaning solutions when necessary. - Properly manage wastewater in compliance with local regulations and ensure all debris is removed from the site post-cleaning. - Ensure site protection by erecting safety barriers and maintaining communication with military personnel regarding security protocols.
