The goal of this contract is to ensure that surgical instruments are maintained in optimal condition to support the healthcare services provided by the Nassau University Medical Center. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1) Maintenance of surgical instruments and trays to ensure they meet safety and operational standards; 2) Repair of any damaged or malfunctioning instruments; 3) Provision of all necessary labor, materials, tools, and transportation required for the completion of these services; 4) Compliance with OSHA safety requirements during all repair activities; 5) Delivery of two operating manuals and two service manuals for each model ordered, including specifications and maintenance procedures. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for two years from the date of issuance, with options to extend for up to three additional years in one-year increments. The total maximum period can reach five years and two months if extensions are applied. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the Nassau University Medical Center located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, New York. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including Comprehensive General Liability Insurance with a minimum limit of $1 million per occurrence, Product Liability Insurance, and Professional Liability Insurance. Additionally, bidders must submit Material Safety Data Sheets for any materials supplied that may contain toxic substances.
