Background The United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation is conducting market research to support a Construction Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for cavitation repair at the Hungry Horse Dam. The goal is to identify qualified contractors capable of performing necessary repairs to the turbine runner weld and grinding at the dam, which is located in Hungry Horse, Montana. Work Details The principal components of work include: 1. Technical information; 2. Inspection and documentation requirements; 3. Administrative controls to perform turbine runner weld repair; 4. Welding; 5. Grinding. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, equipment, and materials necessary to accomplish these tasks as outlined in project specifications and drawings, which are not currently available. Period of Performance The estimated period of performance will begin on the actual contract award date and run for a term of five (5) years from that date. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Hungry Horse Dam located approximately 20 miles northeast of Kalispell, Montana, 9 miles southeast of Columbia Falls, Montana, and 15 miles south of the west entrance to Glacier National Park in Flathead County.
