Background The U.S. Navy, through the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, is seeking to acquire operation and depot level maintenance, upkeep, and repair (MUR) of its Government-owned small boat crafts located at Kings Bay, GA. This initiative supports the Navy's Marine Mammal Program, which relies on a fleet of marine vessels for various operational needs. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational dependability of these vessels, which are critical for fleet programs and research projects. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing preventive and monthly maintenance, upkeep, and repairs (both corrective and emergency) for nine (9) boats and seventeen (17) motors. The specific tasks include: - Hull systems maintenance including aluminum, fiberglass, inflatable hulls, deck hardware, hull fittings, consoles, chafe gear, rub rails, stanchions, railings, working lines, and fenders. - Propulsion systems maintenance covering engines, transmissions/gear cases, propellers, controls, ignition systems, fuel systems, cooling systems. - Electrical systems maintenance involving batteries, ignition components, rectifier/regulators, lights, gauges. - Fluid storage/piping systems management including tanks and associated components for fuel and water. - Steering systems maintenance including linkages and navigation consoles. - Ensuring each boat is equipped with basic US Coast Guard approved safety equipment. - Maintenance of spare parts inventory and compliance with State of Georgia laws regarding trailer requirements. Period of Performance The expected Period of Performance is one 12-month base year starting from April 20, 2026, with four consecutive option years extending through April 19, 2031. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Contractor’s facility located within 50 miles of Naval Submarine Base - Kings Bay.
