Background The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), is seeking to acquire mechanics apparel rental and cleaning services for the Yuma Sector Garage Facility and Wellton Station Garage Facility. This acquisition is essential for maintaining health and safety standards as outlined in the 'Maintaining Employee Apparel Guidelines' and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The goal of this contract is to provide a reliable solution for the laundering and rental of uniforms necessary for personnel working in these facilities. Work Details The Contractor shall provide regular mechanics apparel and shop towel rental and cleaning services, including: - Rental of mechanics apparel and shop rags for Government personnel, with soiled items picked up and laundered weekly. - Apparel must be made from premium fabric that is oil resistant and repels liquids. - Shirts must feature color retention, stain resistance, moisture management, softness, comfort, wickability, stretch panels, underarm mesh for mobility, concealed snap closures, and two chest pockets. A combination of long sleeve and short sleeve shirts may be required. - Cargo pants must have color-matched stretch panels, dual cargo pockets, jean-style waistbands with melamine button closures, along with similar characteristics as the shirts. - Coveralls must include two chest pockets, two front thigh pockets, two rear pockets, and one tool pocket on the left hip. - General repairs and replacements of garments due to normal wear or aging must be completed within one week upon request. The Contractor assumes risk for loss or damage to garments during service. Period of Performance The anticipated contract will be issued for a base period of one year with two additional one-year option periods.
