Background The County of Orange, New York, through its Department of General Services, is seeking to hire a qualified contractor for pile driving services for the Crystal Run Bridge #2 and Bowman Bridge projects. The goal of this contract is to procure, fabricate, furnish, and install steel H-Piles necessary for these bridge projects within the county. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1) Procure and fabricate steel H-Piles (specifically HP 12x74) with welded pile shoes. 2) Install templates to aid in layout and drive the steel H-Piles at designated locations provided by the County. 3) Ensure that all work complies with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. 4) Provide necessary equipment for driving piles and maintain a clean work environment. 5) Schedule pile installation for Crystal Run Bridge #2 between April 1, 2026, and May 31, 2026; and for Bowman Bridge between July 1, 2026, and August 31, 2026. The contractor must notify the County two weeks in advance before installation begins. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract is anticipated to be two years with an option for renewal for an additional two years. Pile installation is scheduled specifically between April-May 2026 for Crystal Run Bridge #2 and July-August 2026 for Bowman Bridge. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Crystal Run Bridge #2 and Bowman Bridge locations within Orange County, New York. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience providing similar services. They must include proof of registration with the New York State Department of Labor as required by Labor Law §220-i in their bid package. Additionally, bidders are required to pay prevailing wage rates as specified in the attached Prevailing Wage Schedule PRC #2025014768.
