Background

The project is initiated by the agency to replace the existing 80KVA Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPSs) with distributed redundant 75 Kilovolt-Ampere (KVA) UPSs at Fort Greely, Alaska. This is part of a total small business set aside Request for Proposal (RFP) aimed at enhancing the power systems to meet current standards and ensure reliability for mission-critical equipment. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Replacing the existing 80KVA UPSs with distributed redundant 75 KVA UPSs; - Adding new UPS panelboards to provide redundant receptacles for all mission equipment within the High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)-shielded equipment room; - Upgrading Emergency Power Off (EPO) systems to comply with the latest Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) standards; - Extending the Power Control and Monitoring System (PCMS) and Power Quality Monitoring System (PQMS) into IDT1 from the Fort Greely Power Plant (FPP).
