Background The National Contracting Office No. 16 is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to assess the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of potential contractors to provide mat services for the Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC). The goal of this contract is to ensure high-quality mat services that meet the standards of the Alexandria VA Health Care Systems. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related services required to exchange mats at the Alexandria VA Health Care Systems. Key tasks include: - Bi-weekly exchange of all floor mats and runners at designated locations to ensure cleanliness and rotation. - Mats must be of acceptable quality and condition, with specific requirements for texture, thickness, and slip-resistance. - Exterior mats should be black with wide trap treads; interior mats must be heavy traffic, rubber-backed, dirt and moisture trapping. - All mats must be laundered and returned on the following service date. - Mats must be free from stains, tears, or holes; any damaged mats must be replaced at no charge to the customer. - Contractor personnel must comply with VA rules while on premises and wear access badges provided by the VA. Period of Performance Services shall be performed during business hours between 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Central Time (CST), every other Monday, excluding federal holidays.
