Lee County Healthcare Clinic Medical Gas Education Cape Coral VA, 2489 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909 1.0 Scope of Work The contractor shall provide and conduct a 6010 Medical Gas Installers Course at the Cape Coral VA facility for up to ten (10) participants and a 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance Course at the Cape Coral VA facility for up to fifteen (15) participants. The training will meet all applicable requirements for certification under NFPA 99 standards and include brazing instruction, course materials, and completion credentials. 1.1 Contractor Responsibilities 1.1.1 Course Delivery Provide all course instruction for the 6010 Medical Gas Installers Course, including classroom and practical brazing components. Provide all course instruction for the 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance Course. Conduct the course at the designated facility on dates to be determined. 1.1.2 Materials and Certification Supply all exam materials, books, certificates, and ID cards for each participant who successfully completes the course. Supply all class materials, including the NFPA 99 2021 Code Book, Certificate of Completion, and 6040 badge for each participant. Administer a 4-hour refresher course for each student when Florida adopts the new code every three years. Mail all cards and certificates upon completion of course paperwork. Administer every 6-month brazing renewal process and provide reminder notifications and required IPTR forms to participants. 1.1.3 Class Requirements Confirm with facility the following prior to start: Class location and brazing location Parking restrictions Availability of facility WIFI and projection equipment, along with login credentials Facility point of contact (POC) with name and phone number 1.2 Government (VA Facility) Responsibilities 1.2.1 Gas Supply Provide the following gases for brazing day: Three (3) Acetylene AC4 tanks Three (3) Oxygen OX300 tanks One (1) Nitrogen tank (non-NF grade) NI300 1.2.2 Brazing Supplies per Student Six (6) pieces of 1 1 2 copper tube, cut into 5 lengths Six (6) 1 1 2 copper couplings 1 2 pound BCUP filler metal or silver solder (5% or 15%) One (1) pair of gloves One (1) pair of safety glasses 1.3 Class Size Provide instruction for up to ten (10) participants for the 6010 Medical Gas Installers Course and instruction for up to fifteen (15) participants for the 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance Course.
