Background The contract is issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) for the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge (MN VLY NWR). The mission of the FWS is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The goal of this contract is to prepare the concrete floor of the Visitor Center, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and functionality in a public-facing area. Work Details The contractor will perform concrete floor preparation, staining, and vinyl cove installation in an approximately 1,421 sq. ft. gallery area at the MN Valley NWR Visitor Center. Specific tasks include: 1. Removal of any remaining residual glue from the concrete slab. 2. Mechanical grinding of the slab to prepare it for staining according to the selected stain manufacturer's specifications. 3. Application of a new stained design reflective of the Minnesota River in a specified pattern. 4. Installation of a 4-inch vinyl cove around the perimeter of the work area following all manufacturers' recommendations. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from January 27, 2026, to March 28, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, located at 3815 American Boulevard East, Bloomington, MN 55325.
