Background The State of Colorado, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is soliciting qualification proposals from Architect/Engineer (A/E) firms to provide commissioning services for the design of a new Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) Field Artillery Readiness Center in Westminster, Colorado. The project aims to construct a 40,321 square foot readiness center for two Field Artillery Units, including a General Purpose Training Bay, Controlled Waste Facility, and Flammable Materials Building. The total estimated project cost is approximately $37.9 million, with an intention to achieve at least LEED Silver sustainability certification, aiming for LEED Gold. Work Details The selected A/E firm will be responsible for providing commissioning services associated with the design of the Field Artillery Readiness Center. This includes: - Designing a facility that meets the specified square footage and functional requirements. - Ensuring compliance with sustainability standards aimed at achieving LEED certification. - Collaborating with the design team throughout the design process and providing commissioning services during construction as an amendment to the contract once design is complete. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Westminster, Colorado. Bidder Requirements Firms must meet minimum requirements including: 1. Not having been previously terminated by the State for non-performance on a State Buildings contract. 2. Being in business under the same name for at least two years. 3. Demonstrated design experience in similar projects within the past five years. 4. Attendance at a mandatory pre-submittal conference is required for qualification.
