These gauges are essential for acceptance testing on road and bridge projects. The contract aims to replace aging gauges that have reached their end-of-life expectancy. Work Details The contractor must provide a total of 5 Surface Moisture Nuclear Density Gauges, specifically either the Troxler 3440 Legacy or InstroTek Xplorer 2 3500 models. Each gauge must include standard accessories such as: - Reference standard - Drill rod - Rod extraction tool - Scraper plate - AC charger - DC charger - Quick reference card - Lock with two keys - Operator’s manual - Two extra battery packs per gauge. The contractor is also required to accept trade-in and dispose of five existing Troxler 3440 density gauges. All new gauges must be shipped in transport cases that will be used to return the trade-in units. Bids on alternate brands or manufacturers will not be considered.
