Background

The Advanced Propulsion Acquisition Contract (APAC) is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Propulsion Directorate (AFLCMC/LP). The contract aims to enhance propulsion capabilities for the United States Air Force and its strategic partners by rapidly developing technologies, implementing innovative solutions, and advancing new system concepts. The goal is to meet current and future propulsion system requirements across all lifecycle phases, including technology maturation, concept development, integration, procurement, production, fielding, operations, and sustainment.

Work Details

The contractor will focus on enhancing propulsion technologies throughout their lifecycle from Concept Exploration to Operations and Sustainment. This includes tasks such as:

Production and Fielding

- Modeling and Simulation. The contractor shall support this effort as detailed in the Statement of Work (Attachment 5). Delivery orders may include various contract types such as Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive Firm, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and others deemed appropriate for individual orders. Additionally, the contractor is required to deliver data as specified in the Contract Data Requirements List.

Period of Performance

The total Period of Performance for this contract shall be fifteen (15) years from the award date. The Base CLIN will have a performance period of five (5) years, with a follow-on Option CLIN also lasting five (5) years.
