Background

The project titled 'Improve Security York Campus' is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. The goal of this contract is to enhance security at the VA Medical Center located at 3400 Lebanon Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the work as specified in the project documents. Work Details: The scope of work includes demolition and new construction activities. Specific tasks encompass general construction, civil work, architectural modifications, electrical installations, low voltage systems, industrial hygiene measures, and other related items. The work is divided into two bid items: - BID ITEM I includes all work as per the provided drawings and specifications; - BID ITEM II encompasses all elements of BID ITEM I except for the installation of bollards around the fuel point. All materials and workmanship must be warranted for one year unless otherwise specified. The contractor is required to perform work during nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and/or weekends to ensure minimal disruption to the operations of the Medical Center.
