This project will consist of reconditioning and resurfacing approximately 4.00 miles on FSR 535 and the removal and replacement of 6 culverts on FSR 535 and FSR 536. This project is located on the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff, Arizona. FSR 535 is an aggregate surfaced road which runs east to west from its junction with AZ-89A. FSR 536 is also an aggregate surfaced road that runs east to west from its junction with FSR 535 to its junction with FSR 231 and FSR 538.

The mission of this project is to enhance the road infrastructure for timber sale hauling and recreational activities such as camping and hunting. The goal of the contract is to recondition and resurface approximately 4.00 miles of FSR 535 and to remove and replace 6 culverts on FSR 535 and FSR 536. Work Details The scope of work includes: - Reconditioning and resurfacing approximately 4.00 miles on FSR 535. - Removal and replacement of 6 culverts on FSR 535 and FSR 536. - Optional work items A and B include reconditioning and resurfacing of approximately 1.41 additional miles on FSR 535. - Reconditioning tasks will involve redefining ditch lines, shoulders, the roadbed, roadway, and aggregate surface of the road. - The project will utilize a government material source located at Big Draw Pit for crushed aggregate surfacing, accessed from FSR 231B, approximately 9 miles from the junction of FSR 535 and AZ-89A. - Bedding Material and Structural Backfill for culvert installations shall be obtained from commercial sources. - Removed culverts must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
