Background The contract is issued by the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) to provide pest control services in accordance with all applicable Air Force (AF) and Department of Defense (DOD) standards, as well as Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and State of New Jersey regulatory guidance on pesticide usage, disposal, and applications. The goal of this contract is to ensure the health and general well-being of installation personnel while effectively controlling pests. Work Details The contractor shall provide pest control services on all grounds, ranges, training areas, buildings, and structures on Dix and Lakehurst (excluding family housing). Services include: - Developing a Quality Control Plan (QCP) within 30 days of contract start; - Maintaining pest control services in accordance with JB MDL Integrated Pest Management Plan; - Responding to pest control requests within specified timeframes; - Performing emergency services within 2 hours of notification; - Ensuring proper storage and disposal of pesticides; - Submitting reports and records as required; - Ensuring all contractor employees have valid New Jersey pesticide applicator certifications; - Conducting monthly inspections and treatments for food service facilities; - Coordinating with facility managers for pest management practices; - Managing mosquito control efforts; - Handling animal control including trapping and disposal of live or dead animals; - Cleaning areas contaminated by rodent feces; and - Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Performance thresholds include limits on discrepancies per month for various service categories. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.
