Background

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a contractor to upgrade the existing fire suppression system at Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP), located at 5905 Lake Earl Dr, Crescent City, CA 95531. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with safety standards by replacing the current fire extinguishing system with a new UL300 compliant system for kitchen exhaust hoods across multiple buildings.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide services that include the removal and replacement of the existing Ansul Fire Extinguishing system with a new UL300 compliant fire suppression system specifically designed for kitchen exhaust hoods in eleven buildings. Additionally, the contractor will decommission kitchen exhaust hoods in three buildings. The contractor will be compensated based on a lump sum service rate as specified in Exhibit B-1, which covers all necessary expenses including labor, insurance, bonds, licenses, travel, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, equipment (including rental), and training of key personnel.

The exact period of performance will commence upon notification of contract award and is expected to follow a progressive payment schedule based on completion of work phases.
