Summary: Background The contract is issued by Keesler Air Force Base (AFB) as part of their mission to maintain and improve base infrastructure. The goal of this contract is to repair Well #9, which includes various construction tasks aimed at enhancing the well's functionality and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, supervision, and materials necessary for the following tasks: 1) Provide new sleeving, new screen, new pipe, new gravel, new pump, new instrumentation and controls; 2) Install a concrete pad and a new generator at Well #9; 3) Demolition tasks including: a) Remove water lubricated turbine 75 HP pump and associated instrumentation and controls; b) Demo Chlorination Pump and equipment; c) Remove grass and topsoil at the west side outside of fence line of B3967; d) Remove 6 inches of native soil for backfill as shown on drawings; e) Remove existing electric service meter and connected conduit on the north side of the building; f) Remove existing pull box and safety switch on the west side of the building; g) Remove underground wire and conduit from the pull box on the west side of the building to new handhole. The project consists of two phases: Phase 1 focuses on well construction, while Phase 2 involves generator installation.
