Quarry Trails Improvement General Construction (Labor and Materials)

Background

The City of Brandon is issuing a solicitation for a General Contract to furnish all labor and materials for the construction of the Quarry Trails Improvement project. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen aim to enhance community facilities through this project, which includes constructing essential amenities for public use.

Work Details

The project scope includes the construction of approximately 1500 square feet of restroom building, along with associated work such as sidewalk installation, curb and gutter construction, parking lot striping, landscaping, and irrigation. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in the plans and contract documents.

Period of Performance

The contract time is set for 250 consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $750 per calendar day for delays beyond this period.

Place of Performance

The construction will take place at Quarry Trails in Brandon, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and possess a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Additionally, Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or subcontractors.
