REMISOL Advance Software Services

Background

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system, created to oversee and coordinate health and human services in Texas. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for REMISOL Advance software services, which will be utilized by both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). This IFB is issued under Section 2155.067 of the Texas Government Code, emphasizing the need for bidders to conform exactly to the specifications provided.

Work Details

The contractor will provide REMISOL Advanced software services, a middleware solution developed by Beckman Coulter for clinical laboratories. The services include: 1) Middleware software designed for maximum functionality without IT oversight; 2) Command Central platform for centralized execution of software; 3) Rule-writing engine for managing quality assurance and testing protocols; 4) Compatibility with national QCnet program; 5) Automated urine chemistry functionality to reduce clerical errors; 6) Software Protection and Support Package for ongoing security and maintenance. The primary service location is at Austin State Hospital Laboratory, 4110 Guadalupe Bldg. 635, Austin, TX 78751.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is one year with four optional one-year renewal periods, allowing a maximum contract term of five years. The contract will commence on the date of award.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Austin State Hospital Laboratory located at 4110 Guadalupe Bldg. 635, Austin, TX 78751.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years relevant experience in providing similar services. Personnel assigned must also have five years relevant experience. All personnel must be at least 18 years old and possess required licenses or accreditations. Bidders are encouraged to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities are identified.
