Rose Avenue at Roselake Circle Fairways Drive

Background

The City of Douglasville is seeking to improve the Rose Avenue at Roselake Circle / Fairways Drive intersection. The goal of this project is to upgrade the traffic signal, signage, striping, and sidewalks at the intersection. The new traffic signal will feature mast arms and video detection with underground connectivity.

Work Details

The project includes the following services: 1. Attendance at a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. 2. Maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow during improvements. 3. Additional striping, crosswalks, and stop bars as outlined in Exhibit B. 4. Installation of sidewalks with ADA compliant ramps as designed in Exhibit B. 5. Provision of all labor, materials, equipment, and engineering necessary for reconfiguring the intersections while adhering to all local, county, state, and federal codes and regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from the execution date until completion as specified in the proposal timeline.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at the Rose Avenue at Roselake Circle / Fairways Drive intersection in Douglasville, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance including General Liability Insurance with limits of no less than $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate; Worker’s Compensation coverage; Temporary Facilities and Equipment; Builder’s Risk Insurance; and must submit a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount. All bonds and insurance policies must be written by surety companies with an A.M. Best rating of A− (Excellent) or better.
