Background

The Town of Wareham, through its Water Pollution Control Facility, is seeking sealed bids from qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of wastewater treatment chemicals for a one-year term starting July 1, 2026. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of necessary chemicals to support the Town's water pollution control efforts. There is an option to renew for two additional one-year terms at the Town’s discretion.

Work Details

The contract includes the supply and delivery of METHANOL IN BULK. All chemical products must comply with the minimum Standard Specifications of the American Water Works Association (A.W.W.A.) and the National Board of Fire Underwriters or equivalent. Chemicals will be purchased on an outright 'as need' basis with no minimum quantity per order allowed. Delivery must include Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) when applicable. Vendors are required to deliver chemicals to specified locations within Wareham, MA, during business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm). The chemicals supplied must be appropriate for their intended application as specified by the Town. All products must meet federal, state, and local standards for quality and safety requirements.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will run for one year until June 30, 2027. There is an option for renewal for two additional one-year terms at the Town's discretion.

Place of Performance

The delivery location is primarily at the Wareham Water Pollution Control Facility located at 6 Tony’s Lane, Wareham, MA 02571.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of two years of satisfactory performance under at least five different contracts providing similar supplies and related services. They are required to provide insurance as specified in the contract documents including Commercial General Liability and Automobile Liability coverage. Additionally, bidders must submit various certifications including a Certificate of Good Faith and proof of compliance with state tax laws.
