Background

The Florida Department of Commerce (Commerce) is seeking a Contractor to provide a comprehensive business intelligence platform aimed at enhancing the State's workforce development system. The platform will support data-driven decision-making and assist in identifying businesses at risk for layoffs and those that could benefit from workforce development services. The goal is to strengthen workforce and economic development strategies, particularly in areas where traditional data sources are limited.

Work Details

The Contractor will deliver a business intelligence platform that includes features for robust data analytics, enabling targeted analysis and improved decision-making. The platform must support the State's ability to respond rapidly to critical events such as mass layoffs, plant closures, and natural disasters. It should empower Florida to anticipate emerging risks and mobilize timely interventions for businesses and workers statewide.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to begin upon execution in August 2026 and remain in effect for 36 months, concluding on June 30, 2029.

The services will be performed primarily at the Florida Department of Commerce located at 107 East Madison Street, Tallahassee, Florida.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must be registered with the DMS MyFloridaMarketPlace VIP system prior to entering into a contract. They must comply with all local, state, and federal laws applicable to the contract. Additionally, contractors must provide adequate commercial general liability insurance coverage and maintain workers' compensation insurance for all employees engaged in contract work.
