Summary: Background The Watervliet Arsenal, part of the U.S. Army, is seeking to improve its electrical infrastructure by repairing a leaking transformer at Substation 1A2. This project aims to ensure the reliability and safety of the electrical systems critical to the Arsenal's operations. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Repair the leaking transformer at Substation 1A2 through resealing and re-gasketing. 2. Remove approximately 420 gallons of oil for cleaning purposes. 3. Disassemble bushings as necessary to re-gasket them properly. 4. Refill the transformer with approximately 420 gallons of new oil after repairs are completed. 5. Conduct several tests post-repair, including TTR testing, insulation resistance, winding resistance, oil sampling, and power factor testing, along with analysis of findings regarding transformer condition. The contractor must also ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards throughout the project.
