Summary (Newest Update)

Background NASA/NSSC has a requirement for 5 Nox A1 respiratory sleep-monitoring units with accessories and training services. The contract is intended to be awarded to NOX HEALTH GROUP INC, which has been determined to be the sole provider of these units and services. This procurement is part of a project in collaboration with NASA JSC, aimed at addressing key gaps in the Human Research Roadmap related to sleep, circadian rhythms, and fatigue risk in exploration missions. The project will contribute to understanding how various stressors affect crew performance during extended missions, particularly in isolated environments like Mars. Work Details The contractor will provide 5 Nox A1 polysomnography systems used for measuring electroencephalography (EEG) during sleep. The systems will be utilized as part of a study evaluating mission-like schedules and their impact on crew sleep-wake regulation and neurobehavioral performance. The work includes: - Supplying the Nox A1 systems along with necessary accessories. - Providing training services for the effective use of these systems. - Conducting systematic assessments of mission-like schedules for both crewmembers and mission controllers to inform risk assessments and guide schedule design. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the contract will be performed (if provided) Place of Performance The contract work will be performed at NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC). Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate capabilities and qualifications relevant to providing the specified respiratory sleep-monitoring units and associated training services. There are no specific security clearances or licenses mentioned; however, bidders should have experience related to polysomnography systems and human factors research. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on closely related prior award 80NSSC26P0763, awarded to NOX Health Group for $58,387 (06/08/26–06/15/26). That prior effort provided 10 NOX T3S sleep-monitoring systems with accessories and training services, which is similar in scope to the current requirement for 5 Nox A1 respiratory sleep-monitoring units with accessories and training. The overlap in providing the same vendor’s sleep-monitoring hardware and associated training suggests the current buy may be a continuation or follow-on procurement for additional units.
