The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for armed and unarmed Security Guard Services for the El Paso Psychiatric Center. Work Details

The contractor will provide armed and unarmed security guard services, which include: 1. Security guards must report on time, in uniform, properly instructed, and supervised. 2. Guards must complete the TIPS (Treatment, Intervention, and Prevention Strategies) program before their initial shift. 3. Guards cannot leave the premises while on duty and must guard against fire, theft, damage, vandalism, and trespassing. 4. Guards will conduct foot rounds of the exterior premises every two hours and remain in the admissions area if patients are present. 5. Guards must check identification of all persons entering the building during non-business hours and ensure that unauthorized individuals do not enter restricted areas. 6. Daily activity reports must be maintained to log all security checks and incidents.

The anticipated contract start date is September 1, 2026, with services expected to be performed continuously thereafter as per the contract terms.
