Background

The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of Trucks, class 7 and 8 HD Chassis with Various Body Options. The goal of this contract is to provide the City with reliable and efficient vehicles that meet specific operational needs.

Work Details

The contract involves the supply of class 7 and 8 heavy-duty trucks with various body options. Bidders must provide detailed specifications for the trucks offered, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The vehicles must include side guards as per Section 6-141 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York. Additionally, all products should be manufactured from recycled or environmentally preferable materials where possible. The awarded vendor must ensure that all vehicles supplied meet current emission standards and include any necessary technologies to comply with future regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract period is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2031. The City reserves the right to adjust these dates prior to or after contract registration.

Place of Performance

The performance will occur within New York City as specified by the agency's operational needs.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have been actively engaged in the sale or manufacture of vehicles for a minimum of two years. They are required to submit a Bidder's Certificate indicating how they will meet specifications. All bids must include delivery charges in the bid price, and items must be delivered FOB destination. Vendors intending to do business with NYC must complete an online PASSPort disclosure filing.
