Background

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified contractor to provide design, fabrication, shop drawings, and construction services for several covered parking structures at the C.D. McIntosh Power Plant. The project consists of eight different parking areas throughout the plant. The goal is to provide safe and protected covered parking for employees and plant visitors, as the decommissioning and demolition of old steam units removed previous facilities.

Work Details

The contractor shall be responsible for design, preparation of shop drawings, fabrication, and full installation of the parking systems. Specific tasks include: - Verifying field conditions - Preparing detailed design and fabrication/shop drawings that meet Florida Building code standards - Fabricating materials suitable for an industrial environment - Installing each parking area while coordinating with existing operations at the plant.
