Breakroom Renovation for Region 03 Regional Administration Services (RAS)

Background

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for breakroom renovations for Region 03 Regional Administrative Services (RAS). Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details

The required services include remodeling services for an employee breakroom located at the Child Protective Services office for Region 03 Regional Administration Services (RAS). Specific tasks include: 1. Demolition of existing VCT floor tile in a 350 sq. ft. breakroom. 2. Preparation of the floor to install 12”x12” ceramic tiles, grout, and finish, matching existing tile at the facility. 3. Painting of breakroom walls with light grey semi-gloss paint after filling holes and cracks, applying primer, and using drop cloths to protect surrounding areas. 4. Painting of breakroom cabinets after removing hardware, degreasing surfaces, sanding, priming, and applying two coats of paint. 5. Replacement of existing countertops with new laminate (Formica) countertops, with color selection provided by the facility.

Period of Performance

Contractor shall perform contracted services Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time. The anticipated contract start date is upon award.

Child Protective Services, 2700 Ben Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76103.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years relevant experience in performing similar services. All personnel assigned must also have five years relevant experience and be at least 18 years old. Bidders are required to provide a minimum of three verifiable references for current or previous contracts of similar size within the last five years.
