The West Virginia Department of Health (WVDH), specifically the Office of Epidemiology & Prevention Services (OEPS), is issuing this Announcement of Funding Availability (AFA) to support immunization services across all counties in West Virginia. The goal of this contract is to ensure a statewide immunization delivery system that enhances public health by increasing vaccination rates and awareness regarding vaccine-preventable diseases.

Work Details

The contract involves providing comprehensive immunization services, including but not limited to: 1. Education/Information Campaigns: Conducting campaigns to raise awareness about recommended vaccines, providing educational materials, and engaging with the community through various media. 2. Assessment: Evaluating immunization coverage and tracking records in the West Virginia Statewide Immunization Information System (WVSIIS). 3. Service Delivery: Ensuring access to vaccines through scheduled clinics, walk-in hours, and outreach programs. Grantees will implement evidence-based interventions to increase seasonal flu vaccinations and report all vaccination data accurately within 48 hours of administration.

Period of Performance

The funding period for this contract is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed statewide throughout West Virginia.
