Corrugated Aluminum Pipe and Aluminum Bands

Background

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to obtain pricing from vendors for the supply and delivery of various types and sizes of Corrugated Aluminum Pipe and Aluminum Bands. This procurement aims to replenish inventory for the 2026/2027 RMIP pipe replacements in Bladen County, with the intent to award an Agency Specific Contract for a one-time purchase.

Work Details

The contract requires the vendor to furnish and deliver: 1. 816 feet of 48” x 24’ x .105” thickness Corrugated Aluminum Pipe. 2. 25 connecting bands for the 48” Corrugated Aluminum Pipe. All products must comply with the 2024 Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures and be inspected and approved by an NCDOT Materials & Test inspector. The vendor must also be authorized by the manufacturer to distribute or resell these products.

Period of Performance

Delivery is expected to be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days after receipt of purchase order.

Place of Performance

Delivery will occur at Bladen County Maintenance, located at 5749 US 701 North, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered in good standing as a North Carolina vendor through the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). Additionally, vendors are encouraged to support Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) by meeting or exceeding a goal of 10% utilization of diverse firms as subcontractors. Vendors must complete and return several attachments including a pricing form, HUB supplemental vendor information, customer reference form, location of workers utilized by vendor form, and a request for EO50 price matching if applicable.
