Prequalification of Qualified Subcontractors and Suppliers: Lockers, Signage, Final Clean

Background

Swinerton is inviting qualified subcontractors and suppliers to participate in a collaborative design-build agreement for the Energy and Innovation Building at CSU Bakersfield. The project aims to enhance the campus with a new multi-story Science Building that supports various educational and research activities.

Work Details

The project involves the design and construction of a new multi-story Science Building with approximately 56,500 GSF. The Energy Innovation Building will feature offices, research laboratories, teaching labs, a capstone design laboratory, and a versatile flex-design event space. Additionally, it includes the creation of flexible outdoor spaces for engagement and interaction. The specific trades required for this project include signage, final clean services, and solid phenolic core lockers.

Period of Performance

Estimated construction start date is January 1, 2026, with an estimated completion date of June 16, 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at CSU Bakersfield Campus located at 9001 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93311.

Bidder Requirements

There is a 6% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) requirement for this project. Interested subcontractors must submit completed prequalification forms by July 2, 2026. Required submissions include the Swinerton Builders Prequalification and the Swinerton Master Service Agreement (MSA).
