Vending Machine and Micro-Market Services

Background

Montgomery County is seeking bids from qualified companies with experience in vending and micro-market operations to install, operate, supply, and service vending machines and micro-markets for various county buildings. The goal of this contract is to provide efficient and sanitary vending services while ensuring a high percentage of commission paid to Montgomery County.

Work Details

The successful bidder will be responsible for: 1. Obtaining all necessary licenses and permits. 2. Complying with all federal, state, and local laws. 3. Furnishing all food, supplies, equipment, management, and labor for the operation of vending machines and micro-markets. 4. Maintaining machines in a clean, functional, and sanitary condition free of pests. 5. Keeping machines stocked with fresh, quality brand-name products; removing expired products within ten days of stocking. 6. Inspecting machines weekly for food quality and servicing them every ten days or more frequently as needed. 7. Responding to service requests within 24 hours and providing replacements for non-repairable machines within 48 hours at no cost to Montgomery County. 8. Providing a visible customer service contact number on each machine for repairs and refunds available during business hours.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be for three years beginning from the date of award.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various county buildings in Montgomery, Alabama.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide documentation evidencing required insurance coverage, enrollment in the E-Verify program, and performance/payment bonds if required within ten calendar days after award notification. Bidders must also attach a copy of a current City of Montgomery business license and Montgomery County business license if applicable.
