Partial Interior Rehabilitation and Barrier-Free Upgrades Dr. Lewis Condict House

The Woman's Club of Morristown (WCOMT) is seeking experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in plaster repairs, finish carpentry repair, wood flooring restoration, and the sensitive installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The project includes several tasks: adjusting the rear patio for barrier-free entrance, reworking interior and exterior doors for egress, improving interior lighting, refinishing wood flooring, repairing wallpaper, preparing and painting interior surfaces, installing life-safety equipment, upgrading the catering kitchen, installing a new cooling system in the auditorium, and providing a unisex accessible restroom on the first floor. All respondents will be notified in writing regarding the decision on qualifications. Only those determined to be pre-qualified Historic Restoration General Contractors will be invited to submit bids for the work. Bidders must demonstrate experience in completing similar projects that adhere to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (Revised 1995).
