Montessori Materials

Background

The Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) is issuing a bid request for Montessori Materials. The goal of this contract is to procure educational materials that align with the recommendations from the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and American Montessori Society (AMS). The attached list serves as the basis of design for each level room, ensuring that the materials meet the educational standards required for Montessori education.

Work Details

The contract includes a comprehensive list of Montessori materials categorized by educational levels and subjects. Specific items include: Knobless Cylinder Chart with Cards, Pink Tower, Brown Stair, Red Rods, and various 3-Part Cards for colors, animals, shapes, and more. Additionally, package pricing is provided for certain line items (539, 540, and 541). Bidders are required to submit documents detailing bundle pricing for each level along with individual item line items. The total quantity and specific requirements for each item must be adhered to as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period begins upon award and extends until all materials are delivered by June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

Delivery of materials will be made to the Central Stores Warehouse located at 1915 Prospect Rd, Des Moines, IA 50310.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all requirements outlined in the solicitation including providing detailed pricing information without additional costs post-award. Proposals must not contain confidential or proprietary information unless necessary and must comply with Iowa Code Chapter 22 regarding public examination of proposals.
