Erie County Solicitation

Background

Erie County is seeking a consultant for the preparation of right-of-way plans and legal descriptions, as well as obtaining necessary reviews and approvals from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). The goal is to construct pedestrian facilities along Campbell Street in Perkins Township, Erie County. This project aims to enhance pedestrian access by constructing approximately ½-mile of sidewalk from Windamere Lane to Perkins High School, while ensuring compliance with ODOT standards.

Work Details

The consultant will be responsible for: - Preparation of right-of-way plans and legal descriptions. - Obtaining all necessary ODOT reviews and approvals. - Placing required monumentation according to ODOT standards. - Conducting research and fieldwork to accurately locate property lines. - Adjusting pedestrian facilities as needed to ensure compatibility with a separate project involving a modern roundabout at the intersection of Campbell Street and Strub Road. The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,175,000.

Period of Performance

The anticipated period of performance begins in July 2026, with various milestone submissions scheduled through 2028, culminating in an estimated completion date of September 15, 2028.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in Perkins Township, Erie County, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must be prequalified by ODOT for right-of-way acquisition services. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for these services. The prime consultant or subconsultants must also be prequalified in Financial Management System Evaluation if applicable. Compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is required, ensuring no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, or limited English proficiency.
