WV STEM Classroom HVAC Upgrades

Background

The West Valley-Mission Community College District is seeking bids for HVAC upgrades in the Math and Science Building at West Valley College. The project aims to enhance the STEM classrooms' heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to support the educational mission of the college.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for upgrading the HVAC systems in the STEM classrooms located in the Math and Science Building. Specific tasks include installation of new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The contractor must possess a California Contractors License classification C-20 (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) or B (General Building Contractor). Additionally, the work is subject to a Project Labor Agreement with the Santa Clara-San Benito Counties Building Trades Council.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by July 14, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at West Valley College, located at 14000 Fruitvale Ave., Saratoga, CA 95070.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid California Contractors License classification C-20 or B at the time of bid award. They are required to maintain this license throughout the contract duration. Bidders must also provide proof of Commercial General Liability Insurance, Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance, Worker’s Compensation Insurance, and comply with California Labor Code §1773 regarding prevailing wage determinations. All bidders must register with the Department of Industrial Relations for Public Works Contractor Registration.
